Two Men Formally Indicted for Prison Murder of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins

Two men have been formally charged with murder after the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.

Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were confiscated.
